Vanilla French Toast
- 6 slices Challah bread
- 3 eggs
- 1/4 c. heavy cream
- 1 tbsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- pinch of salt
– In a shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream, cinnamon, vanilla and salt.
– Heat a large pan with a small pad of butter over medium heat. When butter has melted, dip each slice of bread into the bowl individually and add to the hot pan.
– Cook 2-3 minutes, then flip over the slices of bread and cook for another 1-2 minutes checking for light brown, slightly toasted sides. When cooked through, remove and keep warm on a plate while you finish the other slices of french toast.
– For a nice finishing touch, dust a little confection sugar on top, or add berries.
